Legal Assistance
Pro-bono Legal Services for Ashoka Fellows is a collaboration between Ashoka's Integrity Team and Fellow Support Services.
Through our extensive network of pro-bono partners like TrustLaw, Lex Mundi, the Association of Pro-bono Counsel, and Pro Publico, we are offering free legal counsel spanning over 125 countries and addressing a wide range of legal matters, such as:
- Legal support for your organization covering a myriad of issues ranging from work contracts to international expansion,
- Legislative advocacy efforts by getting professional legal support and public affairs expertise, and
- Protection measures from SLAPPs (Strategic Lawsuits Against Public Participation – court cases where big corporations and governments strategically sue watchdogs to silence them).

However, we are more than willing to guide you towards our pro bono partners who can assist you effectively. Please be aware that contentious or urgent issues may be more difficult for staff, but we are dedicated to finding the best possible legal solutions for you.
Research Support
Ashoka's Research Support Team is able to provide research support in form of research design consultancy, as well as from its pool of expert volunteer researchers from top universities around the world.
Launched in June 2025, the Research Support Program has served over 120 Ashoka Fellows globally with research needs such as literature reviews, market analysis, data analysis, indicator and framework setting, survey and focus group design, and more.

Calls for requests are open twice a year, each support cycle taking approximately 5 to 6 months. The most recent support cycle opened in March 2026 and ended in July 2026.
Be on the watchout for the next call for requests in early November 2026, which will be communicated through e-mail, Ashoka's LinkedIn account and local Fellowship Teams.
